Community Involvement

community photoPitman, New Jersey, has been home to Pitman Animal Hospital for more than 25 years and we are always trying to give back as much as we can to a community that has been so supportive of us.

Staff members of Pitman Animal Hospital participate in pet fairs and other pet-related events in the Gloucester County area. Staff veterinarians provide services for municipal no-cost rabies vaccination clinics. We also provide medical care for shelter animals and surgical services for low-cost spay and neuter programs through Oasis Animal Sanctuary, "Save the Animals Foundation," and the quarterly New Jersey State Program.

Dr. Harris has been a volunteer for Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity for the last 10 years and has been a board member for the last five years. He has participated in a number of trips abroad and in the U.S. for Habitat for Humanity, as well as for other organizations that send construction teams to areas in need.

Dr. Harris has also worked with inner city youth as a volunteer on outdoor learning experiences (e.g. kayaking, hiking, and camping) for Urban Trekkers, a part of Urban Promise, which is based in Camden, NJ.
